If you are travelling to Liverpool from outside the area or overseas, you may wish to make your journey less stressful and start your cake decorating experience at The Park Hotel straight after breakfast.
‘The Sefton Suite’ where David’s cake decorating masterclasses take place, is only a few steps from the hotel’s restaurant, so you can begin your day relaxed and calm.
Located only 15 minutes drive from Liverpool city centre, The Park Hotel offers visitors a comfy nights rest, a delicious breakfast and evening meal on request.
With Free Wi-Fi available for all guests, there is also free car parking and wheelchair access.
The hotel is situated next door to a large supermarket and close to retail shopping parks.

Many international students who attend David’s Cake Craft Masterclasses travel from very long distances. Should you decide to arrive in Liverpool a few days early, you may wish to simply relax and replenish for the creative days ahead or discover Liverpool taking a magical mystery tour and explore our wonderful city!

Travel Information for Students
Flying into Liverpool
The nearest airport to The Park Hotel is John Lennon Liverpool Airport.
Upon arrival we can arrange transport services for you, so you are met at the airport by a driver who will then take you to The Park Hotel teaching location.
A return journey from Liverpool Airport to The Park Hotel using highly recommended airport transfer services Cyllenius Travel Services will cost £70 (up to 4 passengers).
This fee includes the compulsory pick up and drop of charges enforced by the airport.
Flying into Manchester
If you are flying into Manchester, flights may cost less than than flying into London. We suggest you check with your airline for more information.
Upon arrival at Manchester Airport, we can arrange transport services for you, so you are met at the airport by a driver who will then take you to The Park Hotel teaching location.
A return journey from Manchester Airport to The Park Hotel using highly recommended airport transfer services Cyllenius Travel Services will cost £100 (up to 4 passengers).
This fee includes the compulsory pick up and drop of charges enforced by the airport.
Please be aware that if you take a taxi outside the airport and it is with a Manchester taxi company it will cost you a lot more than booking airport taxi travel in advance.
David’s Cake Craft highly recommend Cyllenius Travel Services who will ensure your airport transfer return journey from Liverpool or Manchester airport to The Park Hotel is a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
If for any reason your flight is delayed Cyllenius Travel Services will be tracking the flight times to ensure you are met by a driver upon your arrival.
Flying into London
If you are flying into Heathrow or Gatwick, the easiest route when departing the airport is to then take a shuttle train into central London and then take a high speed train from London Euston which will bring you into Liverpool, arriving at Liverpool Lime Street. Both Heathrow and Gatwick airports offer an express shuttle train service which, from our experience is the best way to get into Central London to make your connection for Liverpool.
Heathrow Express Train Service to Central London arriving at Paddington train station – Travel time is approximately 15 minutes.
Gatwick Express Train Service to Central London arriving at London Victoria station – Travel time is approximately 30 minutes.
If you are travelling to England for the very first time and are planning to fly to London Heathrow or London Gatwick Airport, you may wish to spend some time in the Capital of England before or after attending David’s cake decorating masterclass course in Liverpool.
London is a wonderful place to visit and highly recommended for students who are embarking on a once in lifetime journey to England.

Travelling from London to Liverpool
Upon arrival at the Central London Stations, you can take a London Underground (Tube) train to London Euston, ready to board the high speed train travelling to Liverpool Lime Street.
We find the best place to purchase train tickets a discounted prices is at Trainline
Train prices booked through Trainline will vary, but you can pick up a great discounted deal if you book early.
If you book a direct train from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street the journey will take approximately 2.5 hours.
Booking a journey with connections means you will have to change trains which can be a little stressful if connection times are very close.
For peace and quiet during your journey add a ‘Quiet Carriage’ to your booking requirements.
There is a coach service from London Victoria coach station to Liverpool One coach station which can be booked via National Express
Please be aware that the coach journey is much longer than the train journey and can take up to 7 hours depending on departure times.
You can then take a 10 minute walk from Liverpool One coach station to Liverpool Central train station where there is a taxi rank and also a connecting local train which takes you to Aintree train station (near The Park Hotel).

Travelling from Liverpool Lime Street to The Park Hotel
Once you depart your train at Liverpool Lime Street Station, you can take a few minutes walk to the taxi rank which is located next to the train station platform. You can take a Black Hackney cab to the Park Hotel teaching location (which is approximately a 15 to 20 minute drive from Lime Street station.)
Please be aware that Black Hackney Cabs are more expensive than a private hire taxi.
Always check with the driver the fare he is charging before boarding.

A taxi fares from Liverpool city centre to The Park Hotel will vary according to the time of day from approximately between £10.00 to £15.00.
Alternatively upon arrival at Lime Street Station, we can arrange transport services for you, so you are met at the train station by a driver who will then take you to The Park Hotel teaching location.

By Local Train Connection
Logistically it is much easier to take a taxi from the city centre to The Park Hotel, but if you feel like taking a train and then enjoying a long walk – it can be an exhilarating experience.
Once you arrive into Lime Street station, talk a short walk to Liverpool Central train station (about 8 minutes walk from Lime Street station).
Once you arrive Liverpool Central train station purchase a ticket valid from Liverpool Central to Aintree at the Merseyrail box office.
You can also purchase you tickets in advance on the Merseyrail website.
The train from Liverpool Central to Aintree station travels on the Ormskirk Line which you enter through the ticket barrier.
The train journey is approximately 17 minutes from Central train station to Aintree station.
Once you depart the train, walk out of the main entrance to Aintree station and turn right. Then walk to the traffic lights and then turn right again onto Park Lane. Then walk straight down Park Lane to Dunnings Bridge Road ( about a 25 minute walk ) and you will then be in sight of the Park Hotel which is just across the dual carriageway as you exit Park Lane.
To cross the dual carriageway means you will have to walk over a foot bridge, which may not be suitable if carrying heavy bags and suitcases.
